Solana is a decentralized blockchain built to enable scalable, user-friendly apps for the world. Solana was officially launched in March 2020 by the Solana Foundation with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The users can participate in the delegation of their SOL token to earn staking rewards while contribute to the security of Solana Network.
Here is the guide how to stake SOL via Phatom wallet:
Step1: Create an account of Phatom wallet
First open the Phatom Wallet download page, select the version for your browser.
The app store for your browser will open. Click 'Add to Chrome'. After installation, the wallet start page will open. Click 'Create a new wallet'.
Please create a strong password for your wallet. Accept the terms of service, and click 'Continue'.
Click on the area with the backup phrase to display it, and then write it down on paper. You need to store the mnemonic phrase in a secure place because without it you will not be able to restore the wallet.Do not share your seed phrase with anyone.
Tick the box next to 'I saved my Secret Recovery Phrase' and click 'Continue'.
Click 'Finish'. Then your wallet is ready to use.
Step 2: Funding of the Phantom Wallet
Enter the password, and click 'Unlock' to open your wallet.
Click 'Deposit'.
Choose 'Solana'.
Scan the QR code or Copy the wallet address, and then send SOL tokens to it.
Step 3: Stake your Solana
To delegate SOL, click 'Solana'.
Click 'Start earning SOL'.
Copy our validator address AGwkENuBrzmfzBQSxzr7CN5m1a239BHfZc6bWscMMTMr to fill in the table. Click 'Coinpayu'.
Enter the SOL amount you want to stake, and Click 'Stake'.
Wait while the transaction is validated by the Solana network.
When the SOL are staked, you will see the following picture. Congratulations, it's done now!
Step 4: Track your solana staking rewards
Go back to the wallet home page and click 'Solana'.
Click 'Your stake' to check the status of your delegation.
Your stake is in 'Activating' status,and you will start receiving rewards as soon as the current epoch ends. One epoch lasts 2~3 days.
Click one of the stakes, you can track the staking reward details. If you do not want to stake, just click 'Unstake'.
